Create is a state-of-the-art facility based at Vision West Nottinghamshire College’s Derby Road site, just off the A60 at the southern tip of Mansfield.

It was officially opened in November 2011 by HRH The Duke of Kent and houses a suite of specialist rooms, at the heart of which is our flagship Create Theatre.

It provides media, music and performance students with state-of-the-art facilities and equipment including:

• workshop and rehearsal space
• television, radio and digital recording studios
• multi-media, animation and video editing suites
• commercial software training centre
• performing arts and dance studios
• 150-seat performance theatre.

As well as being an inspirational learning environment for more than 200 students, the college wants the building to become a focal point for local musicians, performers and touring companies, who will be urged to use its recording studios, rehearsal space and performance theatre.

Create has already become one of the leading centres for the creative arts in the region, forging links with organisations in the creative industries and encouraging participation and engaging the local and surrounding communities.

Create undoubtedly has the finest equipment, resources and facilities in the area; we now want to ensure that anyone who has a love for the creative arts has the opportunity to make the most of their talent and ambitions. Whether you’re a student who wants to hone your skills for a career in music, multimedia design or performance, or someone who appreciates challenging and experimental theatre (and wants to see more of it!), Create has it all.
