The South Holland Centre is owned and managed by South Holland District Council as part of its services to the local community.
AYSCOUGHFEE HALL MUSEUM
The Council also manages the superb Ayscoughfee Hall Museum in Spalding, a rare Grade 1 listed Medieval Hall dating back to the 1450s. Open Wednesday to Sunday daytimes and on Bank Holidays, your visit could encompass fascinating historical displays, regular temporary exhibitions and a variety of educational opportunities. Guided group visits are welcome by appointment.
Surrounding the Hall are the equally historic, beautifully laid out Ayscoughfee Gardens. Ideal for a quiet stroll, a picnic with the children or for enjoying one of the regular events or activities on offer. The Gardens are open until dusk year round. Don’t forget to visit the café serving hot and cold snacks, drinks and ice cream.
Two of Ayscoughfee Hall's ground floor rooms have been licensed for civil wedding ceremonies. If you are interested in having your ceremony in this unique location and having Ayscoughfee Gardens as the backdrop for your photographs, please call 01775 764555 or email the Wedding Co-ordinator.
ARTS DEVELOPMENT
Arts activities across the wider community are supported by the Council’s Arts Development Officer who initiates, promotes and encourages a wide range of creative opportunities and projects across South Holland. See the latest local project news!
