Our home venue is Dorchester Arts Centre, a converted school close to the centre of Dorchester. This intimate black-box venue has become renowned for high-quality small scale drama, music and spoken word events. The space is flexible, with modular staging, removable seating, a fixed lighting rig and in-house PA system.

We also regularly programme into Dorchester Corn Exchange, a town centre venue with flexible capacity (110 – 160 raked, up to 275 flat seating with modular stage and 325 standing). This venue has a lighting rig and in-house PA. A Harlequin dancefloor is available.

We also programme outdoor events in the extraordinary setting of Maumbury Rings, an ancient grass amphitheatre close to the town centre and ideal for outdoor theatre and music events.  Our biennial Festival also incorporates outdoor theatre and street performance.

Dorchester Arts is an Arts Council NPO and is also supported by West Dorset District Council, Dorchester Town Council as well as individual donors and corporate sponsors.
