presented by Footprint Project and CASA Theatre Festival
(UK premiere - Brighton Fringe)
Two women have a story to tell. They may have the courage to share it with you, they may not. Efemera is a metatheatrical verbatim play, with a twist. A powerful, humorous and delicate piece, a love letter to theatre and to women.
Inspired by real stories of violence against migrant women and girls collected in interviews led by Professor Cathy Mcllwaine from King’s College London.
Footprint Project is an award-winning theatre company bringing women stories centre stage by exploring themes of migration, identity and gender under the female perspective. CASA is a charity that promotes Latin American Theatre in the UK. Gaël Le Cornec is a French/Brazilian theatre maker based in London. Other plays include Camille Claudel, Frida Kahlo: Viva La vida! , Kitchen and The Other.
