The Guardian and 4th Estate BAME Short Story Prize

The new short story prize (run by The Guardian and 4th Estate) will be open to black, Asian and minority ethnic writers in the UK, encouraging greater diversity in the industry

Stories can be entered from 29 January here, with the shortlist announced on 9 May and the winner on 20 June. The winner will receive £1,000 and have their story published on the Guardian books website.

Deadline: Friday 15 April.
